Deep Throat is FBI assistant director, Mark Felt. It’s interesting that UIUC carried out a four-year investigation on Deep Throat’s identity, and had concluded that Fred Fielding, Nixon’s deputy counsel, was deep throat. See Deep Throat Uncovered.
